CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a synthetic growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analogue composed of 30 amino acids. Through the addition of the DAC modification, the peptide is able to form a covalent bond with circulating serum albumin, dramatically prolonging its activity. While natural GHRH remains active only for minutes, CJC-1295 with DAC exhibits a biological half-life of approximately 6–8 days. This extended duration supports continuous activation of growth hormone-releasing hormone receptors (GHRHR) in the anterior pituitary, resulting in prolonged growth hormone secretion and elevated IGF-1 levels.
