Art.-Nr. der gewählten Abmessung: PEP-TA1-5MG
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a naturally derived peptide consisting of 28 amino acids, naturally synthesized by the thymus gland. Originally isolated in 1972 by Dr. Allan Goldstein, it has become one of the most extensively studied immune-regulating peptides. Its biological activity centers on enhancing immune competence through promotion of T-cell development, activation of dendritic cells, and regulation of cytokine signaling pathways.
As an agonist of Toll-Like Receptors TLR-2 and TLR-9, Tα1 helps initiate and coordinate adaptive immune responses necessary for defending the body against viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens. The pharmaceutical form, marketed as Zadaxin®, has received approval in more than 35 countries for use in hepatitis B and hepatitis C treatment, as well as for immune support applications. Clinical investigations have demonstrated benefits across a broad spectrum of conditions, including immune deficiency states, cancer, sepsis, and vaccine response enhancement.
